Explore one of British Columbia’s most significant fossil sites and experience the intersection of natural history and Indigenous stewardship.
McAbee Fossil Beds are open daily from May 1 to September 31, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The last trail hike begins at 4:00 PM.
Water is available on site.
Visitors can choose between self-guided exploration or guided group tours. Our trails combine education, recreation, and cultural storytelling, making each visit both fun and informative.

Admission provides access to trails, interpretive signage, and opportunities to view fossils along the way.
Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Trails range from 20-minute beginner loops to 2-hour intermediate hikes .

Wear comfortable footwear and dress for outdoor conditions .

Bring a water bottle for hikes — water is available on site

Dogs on leash are welcome along trails; doggy bags are available at the main teepee .
Visitors are encouraged to explore, reflect, and learn about the site’s scientific importance and Indigenous heritage.
